The short answer
After joining LUST you open a private channel and send three live selfies: one holding your ID with only the date of birth and photo visible, and two copying a random hand gesture and facial expression. A staff member reviews them and gives you the verified role. It is free, takes about 5 to 10 minutes, and the channel with your photos is deleted afterwards.
Why we verify every NSFW member
LUST has 472,904 members. At that size, an honor system is not enough. Manual verification does three things for you:
- It keeps minors out. Nobody sees or posts adult content until a person has checked their age.
- It makes the people real. The live gesture selfies stop catfish accounts and stolen photos, so the person you talk to is the person in the pictures.
- It keeps the server alive. Discord removes adult communities that do not protect minors. Verification is why LUST has lasted since 2018.
What you need before you start
- A photo ID: passport, national identity card or driver's license. You may cover everything except your date of birth and photo.
- Your phone or webcam camera. Photos must be taken live. Screenshots and old gallery pictures are usually denied.
- About ten quiet minutes. Your verification channel closes automatically after 30 minutes without progress; you can simply start again.
- A computer, Android phone or Discord in a browser. Discord's iPhone app does not open explicit servers.
Step by step
1. Start verification
Join LUST at discord.gg/FsHSGRc2Dr, pass the age gate, then press the verify button in the #verify channel. The bot opens a private channel that only you and the staff can see.
2. Selfie with your ID
Send a selfie holding your ID next to your face. Your face and the ID's date of birth must both be clearly readable.
3. Gesture selfie
The bot shows a random hand gesture (for example ✌️ or 🤘) and a facial expression (for example 😉). Send a selfie doing both.
4. Final live check
One more selfie with a different surprise gesture and expression. Because nobody knows the gestures in advance, this proves the photos are taken on the spot.
5. Pick your role
Choose Male, Female, Trans-Male, Trans-Female, Trans or Couple. This decides which NSFW channels and profile board are yours to post in.
6. Staff review
A staff member claims your request, checks the photos and approves you. You get the verified role and the NSFW channels appear. In the last 30 days staff approved 305 members, and half of them were done within 51 minutes of starting.
Tips to get approved the first time
These are the most common reasons staff deny a verification, and how to avoid each one:

What happens to your photos
Your photos are never stored. They exist only in your private verification channel, which is deleted after review. Staff are not allowed to save or screenshot verification images.
The bot keeps a perceptual fingerprint of each image: a short code that lets it recognize the same picture if someone tries to reuse it, for example with a stolen ID. The picture cannot be rebuilt from the code. Read the full privacy policy.
LUST verification vs Discord's age check
Since 23 September 2026 Discord runs its own age assurance for every account. The two checks do different jobs:

What ID can I use to verify on LUST?
A passport, national identity card or driver's license. Only the date of birth and your photo need to be visible, so you can cover your name, address and ID number.
How long does LUST verification take?
Sending the three selfies takes about 5 to 10 minutes. A staff member then reviews them by hand; in the last 30 days half of all members were approved within 51 minutes of starting.
Does LUST store my ID or selfies?
No. The photos stay in your private verification channel, which is deleted after review, and staff are not allowed to save them. The bot only keeps an image fingerprint, a short code computed from the picture, so reused or stolen photos can be detected. The picture itself cannot be rebuilt from it.
Can I verify without showing my ID?
No. The ID selfie is how staff confirm you are 18 or older. You may cover everything on the ID except your date of birth and photo.
What if my verification is denied?
You get a DM with the reason, such as an unreadable birth date or a missed gesture, and you can start again. Submitting fake or someone else's ID, or being under 18, is a permanent ban.
Is this the same as Discord's age check?
No. Discord's own age assurance decides whether your account can enter age-restricted servers at all. LUST's verification happens inside the server and decides who can see and post in the NSFW channels. How the two fit together.
